The source data for the CCI, initially presented in the study by Lee Chung-Joo(2022), has been updated, making it possible to analyze trends in the CCI and the %u2161.Based on the source data of the CCI, a correlation analysis with the CPI was conducted to verify its suitability. The results showed that, compared to the previous study (Lee Chung-Joo, 2022), 17 out of 18 items were identical. Additionally, while the previous study found that 86% of the variables were significant out of a total of 21 source data, the current study found that 95% were significant, indicating that the CCI is generally suitable. In particular, the Republic of Korea showed the most improvement among the top 10 countries in the 2023 CCI evaluation, with an increase of +0.14 points compared to the 2021 evaluation. On the other hand, countries and economies with higher CCI scores than Korea, such as New Zealand (-0.12 points), Australia (-0.03 points), Taiwan (-0.03 points), Singapore (-0.15 points), Hong Kong (-0.06 points), and Japan (-0.05 points), were evaluated as having regressed in their corruption control efforts compared to the past.
